The Icon Room

The Icon Room celebrates David Bowie through the eyes of those who knew him, admired him and were inspired by his extraordinary influence. This gallery will feature original portraits created and donated by fellow musicians, actors, photographers, cultural figures and some of the world's leading contemporary artists, each offering their own unique interpretation of Bowie.

From simple sketches and paintings to mixed media and fine art, every work will tell a personal story of Bowie's impact on the creative community. We will invite artists from across the music industry, along with internationally recognised visual artists, to contribute a portrait in any style or medium, creating a collection that reflects the breadth of Bowie's cultural legacy.

The exhibition will bring together an extraordinary range of creative voices in one space, demonstrating how one artist inspired generations across music, fashion, film and the visual arts. A selection of these donated works will be auctioned following the exhibition, with proceeds supporting Nordoff Robbins, helping to fund the life-changing work of music therapy.

The Icon Room is both a tribute and a legacy, an opportunity for the creative community to honour one of its greatest innovators while giving something back through the universal language of art.
