Where Are We Now?

Created in collaboration with the School of Digital Arts (SODA), Where Are We Now? is a fully immersive digital gallery that asks a simple but provocative question: not who was David Bowie, but who would he be today?

If Bowie were beginning his creative journey with access to today's technologies, how would he use them? How would he combine music, film, fashion, performance, digital art and emerging creative tools to invent entirely new forms of expression? This gallery invites SODA's students and creatives to explore those possibilities through their own contemporary lens.

Using immersive storytelling, filmmaking, animation, stop-motion, generative art, AI, interactive media, 3D environments, projection mapping and digital installation, the gallery will transform the space into a living, evolving artistic experience. Rather than looking back at Bowie's legacy, it imagines how his relentless curiosity and appetite for innovation might shape the future of creativity.

There is no single answer. Every installation represents a different interpretation of what Bowie could have become if he had access to the creative technologies of today. Together, these works form a collective vision of an artist who was always looking forward, challenging convention, embracing experimentation and continually redefining the boundaries of art.
